While it remains to be seen how brick-and-mortar retailers will fare this holiday season, one thing is certain: People are not shying away from shopping online.

Cybermonday.com, a Web site linking shoppers with online deals the Monday following Thanksgiving, reported that site traffic increased threefold compared with last year. The site, which offers deals from more than 550 online retailers, had more than 1 million visitors by 1 p.m. EST yesterday.
